The Austin Bass Club was founded in September 1960.

The November meeting was a lively one. We had 13 members present. We also had one new member voted in. He was a guest of Keith. Please join me in welcoming Bob Wiseman. We’re happy to have you Bob.
We discussed the techniques used at the Falcon and Austin tourneys:
Falcon: Chart/White or White Spinnerbaits worked very slowly seemed to be the ticket. Others
had reported lightly weighted flukes. The Salinillas and the Burros were the areas
where 1st and 2nd place teams caught their fish.
Austin: First place reported catching fish on ¼ oz. Black/Blue Jigs worked very slowly.
The second place team reported catching their fish on Flukes.
The $150 budgeted for banquet gifts will be given to Keith Nichols so his girlfriend can purchase the gifts.
The club voted on and passed a bylaw rule stating that weigh slips will now be used at club
tournament weigh-ins. Please see new bylaws for exact details. We will try to get those
posted to the website.
The club also voted and approved the new bylaw allowing guests to win “big bass” of the tourney.

Brian Koraska was voted in as the new club Secretary for 2008.
Two new club Board of Directors members were also voted in ….Don Cosner and Dennis Parish.
Also, it was expressed that everyone should get their own weigh bags. When we barrow from
Keith or the tournament director they usually end up having to rinse them all out. …or risk having
their boat stunk up. Let’s try to help out.
Next Meeting Date:
January 1st (Meetings start at 7:30 pm) Due to the Holiday let us change this date to the following Tuesday 8 January 2008.
