Red Alert for 2006 Officers
It is that time again to elect new officers for the coming year. If you would like to volunteer to be an officer or if you would like to nominate someone then make sure you come to the next meeting. If you know you DON’T want to be an officer then you too had better come to the next meeting to defend yourself. If you’re not there then don’t complain if you are elected.
2005 Tournament Finale is a Draw
The last tournament for 2005 will be a draw tournament on Lake Austin. Fishing hours will be from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm with the weigh-in and the draw at the 360 bridge. The draw will take place at 5:45 am.
Choke Canyon Results
We had 5 1/2 teams head south to Choke Canyon for the November tournament. It was a dogfight for first place as Bobby Landes and Denis Parish narrowly edged out Keith Nichols and Sean Ramsey by less than a pound. Bobby and Denis brought in 9 fish weighing 21.73 lbs. while Keith and Sean came in with 21.05 lbs. and 7 fish.
It was good for everyone else that Dale Langston didn’t have a partner as he came in third place fishing by himself. He had a nice 5 fish stringer weighing 14.60 lbs. which was good for Top Individual.
There were two nice fish caught by Jimmy Routon and Sean Ramsey, weighing 6.63 lbs. and 6.10 lbs. respectively.
The first and third place teams caught most of their fish on lizards in 12’-30’ of water while the second place team did well with spinnerbaits.
There were 11 fishermen that caught 32 fish for a total weight of 85.86 lbs and an average weight of 2.68 lbs. per fish.
