A word from the Pres

I am going to change the agenda of the Club meetings up a bit to include discussion of the prior tournaments. Right now I don't think we talk about it at all. Most people in the club want to learn as much as they can about fishing and different lakes. I myself am willing to tell almost everything I know, after the tournament is over:)

Also, everyone needs to remember, this is the last meeting of the year and we start all over again in January. So it is a good time to come back to the club, get all dues paid up, and start next year off fresh.

I personally am excited. My drive to fish has never been stronger, and I have to finally post a 10 pounder up. It's eating me up.

November Meeting:

1) Ten members were present.

2) Jake wanted to inform Sean Ramsey and Randy Roe that they have checks awaiting them from previous tournaments. Please contact Jake ASAP before it is too late.

3) We discussed tourney cut-off times. We decided to try handing out weigh slips at Falcon, just to see how it would go. As discussed in other emails, this is just a way to help the tournament director insure everyone is in on time. Please let us know what you thought of it. …or any other ideas you may have. This may come up for vote at the December meeting.

4) We will vote new officers at the December meeting, so please try to attend.

5) Jake informed the club that TABC dues are due by April 1st if you are in the top eight and/or think you may be fishing the 2008 State Tourney.

Subject: ABC Dues 2008

As a reminder, if you are in the Top Eight you MUST join TABC by April 1 to qualify to enter the State Championship next year. After April 1 and you wish to join TABC there will be a 20% late penalty fee if you were a previous TABC member. If you do not pay the Austin Bass Club dues by March 1, their will be an additional $1.00 fee also. You can either mail your dues or pay them at any club meeting. Looking forward for your reaffiliation with the Austin Bass Club.
